Teckentrup Garage Doors manufacture the high quality Carteck sectional door. They specialise in special sizes and in the majority of cases a speedy delivery. They also offer a wide range of sizes that other sectional door manufacturers only offer as “specials”. They are the first manufacturer to introduce an INSULATED SIDE HINGED door range. The Carteck doors are manufactured in Germany by Teckentrup and epitomise the quality of German Engineering. They are assembled in the UK which enables Signature to offer their short lead times.

Aluroll, who manufacture the Insulated Roller Shutter garage door, have introduced a Low Cost – Quality – Insulated Roller Shutter door. This gives the customer the option to buy a quality insulated roller shutter door without breaking the bank. Aluroll now manufacture a HIGH SECURITY door which has undergone tests to meet insurance company security standards known as the “LPCB Insurance Approved Certificate”. These doors also have “Security by Design – Police Approval”. This gives their doors High Security status.

Banbury Doors have recently ceased trading which has left only one GRP (Fibre Glass) door manufacturer in the UK – namely Wessex. The majority of Wessex doors can be made to measure (at no additional cost) and they also have a comprehensive SIDE HINGED range which can also be made to measure – again at no additional cost. Unlike the Carteck side hinged range the Wessex side hinged doors are not insulated.

We are finding that the Cedar Door range is becoming increasingly popular. These doors are manufactured from solid cedar and don’t “move” unlike Oak doors which are quite “unstable” as a garage door. Cedarwood is ideal for a garage door as it is extremely durable yet considerably light which is a distinct advantage where the door is to be of manual operation. All the Cedar Door range are made to measure (at no additional cost) so they are very versatile. They can also be supplied fully finished in a wide range of Sikkens colours which means they are “maintenance free” for approx. 7 to 8 years.
