Garador are one of Britain's oldest garage door manufacturers. They began as Westland Engineers, Yeovil, Somerset as part of the Westland helicopter group. Approximately 8 years ago, they were bought out by the big German garage door manufacturer Hormann.
Although trading as a separate entity to Hormann, the Garador range of doors work on Hormann lifting gear, which is very high quality.
Also, the Garador remote controls are Hormann products branded up as Garador products.
The Garador Garamatic is a range of high quality, German-made motor kits, all belt-drive with soft start / soft stop.
Garador offer a very wide range of powder coated steel doors in a wide range of standard sizes. The Garador sectional doors now form part of their wide product range. Unlike most of their competitors, Garador make a range of white powder coated steel side hinged garage doors, in standard sizes and made-to-measure.
Garador offer a range of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) doors in Cherry Oak, Honey, White Woodgrain, White Gloss and various other colours. These doors can come with windows as an option at extra cost.
Garador released a new range of timber side-hinged garage doors in 2011 and, in early 2012, released their “Design Range” of doors, giving the contemporary, sectional door look at up and over prices.
